Angels on Acid was founded by Michael Banks in early 2003 with a heavy influence in everything from EBM, industrial, metal, synthpop, psychedelic, and old school goa. It was this diversity that helped to create their unique style of dark electronica.

Michael began working with Metal guitarist The Omen in the fall of 2005 and released The Dominate E.P.in the spring of 2006. In June of 2007, Angels on Acid successfully released their first full length album Eyes Behind The Curtain and began distribution with DSBP Records shortly thereafter. After successful international sales, AOA signed with DSBP in December 2007 officially re-releasing the album on the label.

Angels On Acid's music has been featured on various compilations including Alfa Matrix's Endzeit Bunkertracks III and IV, and in films like the sci-fi film Defcon 2012 along with artists like Die Krupps, State of the Union, and FGFC820. They have also performed with influencial bands like Combichrist, Imperative Reaction, Assemblage 23, Nachtmahr, Mindless Faith, De/Vision, Dismantled, Julien-K, Modulate, Genitorturers, and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

Angels On Acid's next unreleased album Blood, Sweat, And Tears is now ready for release in 2010. The new album shows the maturity of their signature sound, painting an introspective and grim picture of humanity's future. It includes ten original tracks along with remixes from artists Wynardtage and Carphax Files (COP International), Psyborg Corp (Noitekk), Erektor, and Sonik Foundry.
